Dear Butch and Wendy
After 2008 bowfishing with my grandson, daughter-in-law, ( both novices )and son ( who now holds the Body of Water state record thanks to you ) on Medina Lake. Then took some of my sub-contractors for a memorable outing. It started a routine of fishing twice a year with you. In 2009 we took my daughter, son-in-law and nephew on an unforgettable trip in the Kerrville area. Moving into the 8-hour trips was very fulfilling because the fishing yeilded alot more shooting than I ever imagined. We took carp, gar, buffalo, and talipia at Coleto Creek Res. a found it was worth the extra effort to fish all night.
In 2010 I'm looking forward to many more long trips and hope to fish Amstead anf Choke Canyon for the ...BIG GAR ...like you and Wendy got at Amstead last year. Keep me informed about openings you might have for these longer trips.
Keep the boat gassed-up and pray for clear water.

Hi, my name is Bill Eaves.
I met Butch through my work. We talked and found we both love to hunt & fish. Butch approached me about bow fishing. He told me he was guiding bow fishing trips to area lakes and that I needed to try it. I got with some friends and booked a trip to Medina lake so it was Bill & buds first bowfishing trip. It was a hoot! Got to the lake and after the paper work, it was out on the water to set up the bows and get us used to them, which did not take long. So we drifted in and the fish were there. After a few shots we were hooked, so many fish, just pick and shoot. Loved it! Did not take long and got to the dock with 48 fish. Sitting and talking Bill & buds had a plan. Choke canyon was next we all worked all day Friday got to the lake set out and the fun was on again. Long nose & Alligator gar. What a trip! Asa got an Alligator gar about 5 foot & 75 pounds, and boy was it pissed. We ended up with about 58 fish that trip. It’s funny how you don’t notice how tired you are when you are bow fishing. Once you stop it doesn’t take long, but well worth the sore arms and shoulders when you shoot so many times you lose count. We have all rebooked with Butch about 7 or 8 times in all, and we always seem to have fun. I would go now, but that thing called work gets in the way. All the People I tell or show the videos of the trips want to go, and most do and come back with their own stories got to love it .
